French is spoken by over 300 million people worldwide and is an official language in 29 countries. It's one of the six official languages of the United Nations. Known as the language of love, French has influenced English heavily, with nearly half of English vocabulary derived from French.

Our experienced instructors use immersive and interactive teaching methods to build strong foundations in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The longest word officially recognized in the French dictionary is anticonstitutionnellement, meaning “unconstitutionally.” It boasts 25 letters and is often used in language trivia and tongue-twister challenges
French numbers take a quirky turn after 69. For instance, 70 is expressed as soixante-dix (“sixty-ten”), 80 as quatre-vingts (“four-twenties”), and 90 as quatre-vingt-dix (“four-twenties-ten”). This unique counting system can be a fun puzzle for learners.
France has an organization called “L’Académie Française” that protects the French language. They even try to limit the use of English words like “le weekend” or “le selfie” in French!
At the A1 level, the learner can understand very basic words and expressions used in everyday life, especially if spoken slowly and clearly. They can read short, simple sentences. In a conversation, they can ask and answer simple questions about themselves (name, nationality, address...). In writing skills, they can fill out forms, write a short postcard, or a basic sentence.
At this level, the learner understands common sentences about familiar topics such as family, work, or surroundings. They can read short, practical texts like menus, schedules, or simple letters. They can also take part in brief conversations, ask and answer straightforward questions, and exchange basic information in familiar contexts. In writing, they can write short messages or simple letters, such as thank-you notes or friendly updates.
The B1 level marks growing independence in everyday situations. The learner understands the main points of a speech on familiar topics such as work, leisure, or current events. They can read simple texts with understanding and participate in conversations when traveling or in daily life. They can tell stories, express opinions, and defend basic ideas. In writing, they can produce structured but simple texts on familiar subjects.
At this stage, the learner understands the main content of more complex discussions, including debates or movies in standard language. They can read news articles, essays, and opinion pieces. They are able to converse spontaneously with native speakers, comfortably and without needing much preparation. They express ideas clearly and in detail, both orally and in writing, and can write structured, well-argued texts on a wide range of topics.
The C1 level allows for deep and nuanced understanding of the language. They can easily follow long speeches, even if they are abstract or not clearly structured. They can read complex texts, including technical or literary works, with ease. They speak fluently and spontaneously in a variety of contexts—professional, academic, or social. Can structure their ideas clearly, express subtle viewpoints, and adapt their language to the situation. In writing, they can produce rich, well-structured texts suitable for any type of audience.
Level C2 represents full mastery of the language. The user understands everything they read or hear, even in a formal or fast-paced register. They can participate in any conversation effortlessly, express ideas with precision and subtlety, and distinguish the finest shades of meaning. They can also reformulate or summarize complex content effectively. In writing, they can produce texts of a high standard, comparable to those of a native speaker—whether professional, literary, or academic.
