The Japanese language is a fascinating and complex language with a unique writing system and grammar.
Japanese uses three main writing systems: Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. Hiragana and Katakana are phonetic alphabets, while Kanji characters represent meaning and context. Japanese grammar is quite different from Western languages, with a subject-object-verb word order and complex systems of honorifics and politeness.
Japanese uses three scripts together:

In Japanese, nouns don’t change between singular and plural
1. Neko (ねこ) can
mean “cat” or “cats” depending on the context! No “s” or “es” needed.
Japanese has thousands of words borrowed from English, called gairaigo (外来語).
Examples:
1. コンピューター (konpyuutaa) = computer
2. アイスクリーム (aisukuriimu) = ice cream
3. パーティー (paatii) = party
They’re written in katakana and sound quite different!
